about the band
Trimdon Brass is a friendly, motivated and progressive third section band. We recently enjoyed our first major title win of 4th Section Champions at the National Final North East Contest on Saturday March 16th 2013.
We have a flexible approach to membership and welcome players of varying ability. We are also able to loan instruments free of charge if you do not have your own.
For those looking to book the band, with a library of over 2000 pieces, with more being added every year, we can offer a wide and varied programme to suit any occasion. We have hymns, marches, and overtures to more modern pop tunes. Please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
Below are just a selection of the many photos of the band doing what we do best, entertaining and having fun. We are like one big family and there is always a warm welcome to guests and new members.

history
Trimdon Brass began life as Thornley Colliery Band in 1870 and under this guise were founder members of the Durham Brass Band League. The band relocated to Trimdon in the early 1990's, a move that brought the band closer to its player base and has resulted in strong links being forged throughout the wider East Durham area.
